I want to welcome everyone to the 2011-2012 season of Bible Quizzing!
This year, we are studying Hebrews, 1 Peter and 2 Peter.
A note on versions. We are still using the 1984 edition of the NIV. We will NOT be using the new version for the next two season as the quizzing material is prepared ahead of time.
2012 is also the year for the Q quiz. This year, Q will be held at Olivent Nazarene University. Q is a national tournament that happens every other year. The regional teams compete in a tournament there, but there are also competitions for local novice and experienced teams, and district novice and experienced teams.
South Texas is sure to have representation on the regional teams at Q. We had three this year and hope to add a couple more next year.
In addition, Hill Country is planning on taking a local team. If any other churches are interested in going, we can coordinate travel. If any quizzers want to go but don’t have enough for a local team, we can send a district team of those quizzers.
